The way I dress

Okay so get this...
I have this gala to go to this Friday. I am trying to find something nice to wear since I am taking toast .... Yes, he said that he would like to come because he thinks it might be fun. He is even going to wear a nice outfit, which I am going to do also. I have to figure out what to wear though, since I am more of the jeans and t-shirt type, know what I am saying??? The Gala is going to be Sunday best, and i would like to look good, so that Toast is impressed at the very least. Plus I would like others to know that for special occasions I will gladly dress up and look nice. I just see dressing up as something to do for a special occasion.
I have been told that I need to dress up more often though, because it is good to dress up?? Yeah, when you want to dress up nice for someone else. I do like to dress nice when I need to, but I would rather wear jeans any day of the week, is that so wrong?
